Every product is considered across six interconnected areas.

We examine relevant ingredient research, published scientific literature, mechanisms of action, and clinical evidence when available.
Formula Excellence
We consider ingredient selection, formulation architecture, delivery systems, product format, compatibility, and the thoughtfulness of the complete formula.
A strong ingredient list alone does not guarantee a strong product.
Consumer Experience
We review patterns across publicly available consumer feedback, including performance, usability, sensory experience, consistency, and repeat-purchase sentiment.
Meaningful Innovation
We recognize products that move beauty forward through new technologies, distinctive formulation strategies, improved delivery systems, better user experiences, or thoughtful solutions to unmet needs.
Transparency
We assess the clarity of ingredient disclosure, product claims, directions, supporting information, and brand communication.

SUPALUXE awards are granted throughout the year rather than limited to one annual submission cycle.
Products may be recognized as new evidence, technologies, formulations, and consumer needs emerge. Recommendations may also be revisited when a product changes or a stronger option meaningfully advances its niche.
Each recognition reflects the evidence available at the time of evaluation.
Independence and submissions
Recognition cannot be purchased.
Brands may submit products for consideration, but submitting a product does not guarantee evaluation, coverage, or an award.
Entry fees, samples, affiliate relationships, advertising, or commercial partnerships do not guarantee recognition or determine the outcome of an evaluation.
